A Poem for my Broken Heart

a poem for my Broken Heart
**********************************
not long after broken
feeling deep into my heart
deep deep the tunnels swirl down
sadness so long long low
cant feel the bottom of this barrel
endlessly endless broken ends
cascading down icy cold cracks
impossible to numb out this feeling
no escape no words no-thing
just heartaching empty space
sadness stillness without words
inescapable silence of depth
no willpower can end this longing
electric love frozen hollow shut
exhausted of feeling hope
only my remembrance
~of you~

Wishes for NEW YEAR - Poetry by the 17th Karmapa

Wishes for the New Year
Poetry by the 17th Karmapa (seated beside HH Dalai Lama above)...
Coming from the sun of the precious Buddha
The smiling rays of luminous Dharma, precious and genuine,
Bring to blossom the lotus garden of the sangha, the supreme assembly,
May the three realms reveal all their beauty in auspicious glory.
In this new year may there be peace and prosperity on this earth
May you live long and be free from all form of sickness
May you accomplish success in everything that you do.

Like the Dark Horse
Breaking thru the Armor
breaking thru the armourbreaking my heart
the armor reveals
the soft fabrics underneath
tying my wounds together
now im tearing at those silks
loosening the tight bundeled knots
prying pulling freeing
and discovering thru my tears
im finding impossibly beautiful
impossibly rare & precious
jewels
(not my picture)

casting my gaze upon the pools
i am cool still waters
that run deep~
i am white ashes of melted fire...
soft & dissolving to the touch...
letting go is an illusion
as holding onto is impossible
i know i am
my family expands beyond bloodlines...
a SpiritBeing birthed in Creation
reincarnated infinitely
eyes of God
i reflect all broken bits
intertwined glints
of Perfect Lovelight
webbing the Connection of All~
i shine back the infinite blaze
& the deep dark shadows
of Gods face.
i am All
awakening
as there is no last sleep...

Prayer from Black Elk
That They May Face the Winds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Great Spirit,
you have been always,
And before you nothing has been.
There is no one to pray to but you.
The Star Nations all over the heavens are yours,
And yours are the grasses of the Earth.
Great Spirit, fill us with the Light.
Teach us to walk the soft Earth as relatives to all that live.
Help us, for without you we are nothing.
Great Spirit, Creator of All things,
all over the Earth the faces of living things are all alike.
With tenderness have these come up out of the ground.
Look upon these faces of children without number and with children in their arms,
that they may face the Winds with courage
and walk the good road to the Day of Quiet.
Black Elk (1863-1950)
Being as High as I Can Be
Being as High as I Can Be
i am in the Now
keeping my heart strong & clear
recognizing the love i receive
connecting with the All
knowing i am never really alone
never
honouring my feelings
pain and hope
loved and lost
held and released
embracing the Wisdom gained
strengthening my inner Pillar
the core of my Spirit
reinforcing my Faith
i am the Way
on my Higher Path
my Master says -- love best by letting go--
knowing Change is the only constant
i am blessed to have Grace and Acceptance
as my Guides
everything changing
like the tides
strong churning waves
unable to grasp the currents
speading mySelf wide
to softer shores...
water flows thru fingers.
What the Prophet Said About FRIENDSHIP
And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship.
And he answered, saying:
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind,
you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "aye".
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires,
all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence,
as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plains.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery,
is not love but a net cast forth:
and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know its flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter,
and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
What the Prophet said about PAIN
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And a woman spoke, saying, Tell us of Pain.
And he said:
Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break,
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life,
your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart,
even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your feilds.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
Much of your pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender Hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings, though it burns your lips,
has been fashioned of the clay which the Great Potter has moistened with His own sacred Tears.

Reflections While Nude Modelling

Reflections While Nude Modelling
As i pose nude for you to draw me
i wonder
can you see qualities of me
that you cannot when i am clothed?
what am i exposing that you see
that fabrics and covers can hide?
As i pose nude before you to draw me
i consider
can you see my inner "pose"
the pillars of strength within me
that help me be so gently brave
when my heart reaches out
As i pose nude for you to draw me
i contemplate
can you see the deep jagged scars
ripped accross my young soul
that had just about tore me apart
that had for a long time, been so sore
As i lay nude beside you to touch me
i pray
can you feel the tremendous vibration
radiating passion from my core?
that wants to feel your strong hands
that perfects unattachment while we sleep...

There are no grounds for having BELIEFS

Verse 32, Hua Hu Ching by LAO TZU
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ego says that the world is vast, and that the particles which form it are tiny. When tiny particles join, it says, the vast world appears.
When the vast world disperses, it says, tiny particles appear.
The ego is entranced by all these names and ideas, but the subtle truth is that world and particle are the same; neither one vast, neither one tiny.
Every thing is equal to every other thing. Names and concepts only block your perception of this Great Oneness. Therefore it is wise to ignore them.
Those who live inside their egos are continually bewildered: they struggle frantically to know whether things are large or small, whether or not there is a purpose to joining or dispersing, whether the universe is blind and mechanical or the divine creation of a conscious being.
In reality there are no grounds for having beliefs or making comments about such things। Look behind them instead, and you will discern the deep, silent, complete truth of the Tao. Embrace it, and your bewilderment vanishes.
14th Century Mystical Poetiks
Precious human life gained but once,
Has great potential but is easily lost.
Empower me to remember this constantly
And to think day and night of taking its essence.
I must remember that death is quick to strike,
For spirit quivers in flesh like a bubble in water;
And after death one's good and evil deeds
Trail after one like a shadow trails the body.
WHEN TWO STARDUST RAVENS MEET
WHEN TWO STARDUST RAVENS MEET
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
again
the Day breaks at dawn
broken wide
shattering skyness with luminessence
lying beside a God i am sHe
felt the potent vibration
Power in united auras
breathe into Winds of change
smooth gentle fingertip
against my Soft cheek
everything is always
Be-coming
lucid elusive dreamsharing
stardust we were the Beginning
true true not true
cant hide the warmth in our eyes
Strong hands holding
tresses of flesh
smooth strokes sharing
skinslopes
then...
avoiding my gaze
blinders on Sunglasses
impossible to hide his Cold
left longing to Look deeply
gone away he raised on waves
blueness blinded my eyes
a heartStrong song in Wind's ear
its the sound of freedom
bodymemories unerasable
unanchored Heartspirits
everyone's travelling life alone
remembering Forgetting
i drift like waifing Smoke
my chest clear emptyfree
open hands dropping soft
trusting in magnetized paths
i feel Nothingandeverything

Now is not any Time at all
nothing is everything

A Quote from HH Dalai Lama
A Precious Human Life
"Everyday, think as you wake up;
~Today I am fortunate to have woken up.
~I am alive. I have a precious human life.
I am not going to waste it.
~I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.
~I am going to have kind thoughts towards others. I am not going to get angry, or think badly about others.
~I am going to benfit others as much as I can."

The Good and the Wicked
You cannot separate the Just from the Unjust and the Good from the Wicked;
For they stand together before the face of the sun even as the black thread and the white are woven together.
And when the black thread breaks, the weaver shall look into the whole cloth, and they shall examine the loom too.
And let him who would lash the offender look unto the spitit of the offended.
And if any of you would punish in the name of righteous and lay the axe unto the Evil tree, let them seeto its roots;
and verily he will find the roots of the Good and the Bad, the Fruitful and the Fruitless, all entwined together in the silent heart of the Earth.
And you Judges who would be Just,
What judgement pronounce you upon they who, though honest in the flesh, yet is a theif in spirit?
What penalty lay you upon him who slays in the flesh yet is himself slain in the spirit?
Unbidden shall remorse call in the night, that men may wake and gaze unpon themselves.
And you who would understand justice, how shall you, unless you look upon all deeds done in the fullness of light?

LOVE is a Tree

My Poetiks Inspired by Rumi -- Love is a Tree
Rumi's poetry has inspired me to write this continually evolving poem.. now becoming a song... any comments would be appreciated as i continue to evolve this composition...
Love is a Tree...
~~~~~
love is a tree and the lovers are its shade,
the springtime of lovers has come.
may this dustbowl heart become a garden.
the proclamation of heaven rings down,
that the bird of the soul may rise in flight, rise in flight.
the oceans become full of pearls,
the salt marsh becomes sweet as honey
the stone becomes amethyst
the body becomes wholly soul,
holy soul.
i am Renee
reborn
rebirth.
i am a sky
where spirits live
look up today
stare into my deepening blue
listen to the breezes whisper my secrets
clouds changing clearer
North's bluer turquoise
oh lovers lovers
it is time
to set out from the world.
i hear a drum in my soul's ear
coming from the depths of the stars
oh lovers lovers,
when someone asks you
what there is to do?
ya what on earth can we do?
when someone asks you
what there is left to do?
light the candle in their hand
in their hand
light the candle in their hand
What The Prophet Said About LOVE
A Quote About LOVE
~~~~~ Then said Almitra, "Speak to us of Love."
And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them.
And with a great voice he said:
When Love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you, yeild to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself,
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart,
And in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of Love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart, And give thanks for another day of Loving.
Give your hearts, But not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together,
Yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
